2 Repair Or Not To Repair
My 6 year old metallic ARISTON fridge suddenly 'died' on me 2day.... D chiller and freezer went on strike... My freshly stock up (from Geylang market) of prawns, meat, stingray, chicken, ice cream wen on 'defrost mode'...
Enraged and pissed off, I scouted for contact numbers for repair works... I rummaged thru classified of newpaper and straits time but couldnt find any... I tried 2 search thru d web. But my lappie batt died (of all times).. In d end I called CALL SEARCH for asst... N viola I got connected 2 a repair shop..
I was expecting d cost of repair 2 b less than 100 bucks as Im convinced dat d gas muz have run out...D technician den dropped d BOMBSHELL.... D motor needs replacement.. N d estimation repair cost is $480 coz my fridge is big n 'highend'....... Wat d heck.... Was contemplating in getting a new fridge or proceed wif d repair...
I d end I asked d technician for d boss hp number.. And apa lagi mak mintak kurang lah... Buat suara 'kesian' and in d end he lowered it 2 $380. I asked for further reductions and he turned me dwn... Takper lah $380 pun $380 lah....
N d ting dat irks me is d motor died bcoz d fridge is leaned against d wall hence d warm air is trapped and d motor have 2 werk real hard thus causing it 'demise'..
Moral of d story : - D gap between d fridge and d wall muz be at least a few inches away... Duhhhh.. Now I noe... DOLMAT betul aku nie...
It looks nice and metallic.. But it cost a bomb 2 have it repaired!!!
On a seperate note, my masterbed room is so complete now.. Dah ada home theatre... Can karoke in private now... Triple yeahhhhhhhhhhh.. :)
