Recipe kek kukus
As promised, dis is d recipe for kek kukus... Ive tried 2 simplify it as easy as it can b...
D ingredients
5 eggs (big) or 6 eggs (small)
600 gm flour
600 gm sugar (200 gm is for frying)
Butter can TONG 454m
Mixed fruit (1 packet , to cut into small pieces so that wen baking it would b spead evenly)
1 tablespn cream tartar
1 tablespn cream of biacrabonate soda
i tablespoon vanilla essence
i tablespoon orange paste
D method
Egg sugar and butter - Mixed wif high speed mixer til fluffy
On a seperate bowl, mix flour and mixed fruit 2getha getha
Cream tartar, bicarbonate soda, vanilla essence n orange paste mix 2gethagetha
Fry d 200gm or sugar over low fire til golden brown til thicken. POur over the flour and mix fruit and mix evenly wif a wooden spoon... N slowly mix d egg, sugar n butter bit by bit til even....
Preheat the steamer.....
Pour d batter into a cake tin (loyang) from d centre of d loyang (so dat it wil be even).. Cover wif 2 layers of aluminium foil.... N lilit kain on d layers of d steamers so dat steam will b trapped... Itulah rahsianya kalau nak kek kukus basah.... Steam for 4 hours .. (to top up boiling hour into d steamer wen d water has dried p by half)
After 4 hours
Remove d aluminium foil by d side... Turn d cake over a cooling rack... After 3 hours turn back d cake 2 d normal side....
Preparation : 45 mins
Cooking time : 4 hours
Cooling Time : 3 hours
Verdict : A nice and moist kek kukus... And also a very moist armpit and smelly me... And an upside down kitchen....
