My 1st Eva Cost Cutting Raya
I did my part as a dutiful mooma n wifey dis year... For d 1st time eva, I didnt do any massive shopping at Geylang bazaar 4 d house... All I lug back from Geylang bazaar was d dengdeng, otak2 n kropok lekor... N mind u, I went 2 geylang bazaar 5 days consecutively after RIZ is back in town.. LOL... I was tempted 2 buy a few of d carpets there but Riz reminded me dat we have 2 many carpets 'rotting' in d bombshelter waiting 2 b bombed!!
My curtains, table runner, alas bantal n all d other alas r all recycled from last year raya..... D carpet was d 2nd carpet I bought for d house back in 2001 which I hardly used... Its a 5 year old under-utilised carpet dat was found 'idling' in d bombshelter.... Banyak jugak harta karun yg jarang n also langsung tak di gunakan di bombshelter... Poster frames, photo fames, carpets,etc...
Since I did some early shopping/preparation during d holidays in BAngkok n KL, I didnt have 2 buy much things for raya as well...
OVERSEAS SHOPPING = CHEAP CHEAP
D vase, wooden tissue box, candles, teakwood ornaments n wooden trays r all from d LAND OF SMILES... SAWIKAP.. BANGKOK... Bought it during d holidays there...
Even d whole family baju kurung fabric were bought during my previous KL trip.. In RM...
BUT I stil cant resist shoppping for kiddos clothes n I did spend a bomb on them.... Abang Abu (my cuzzy) even spotted Syura's dress.... Kudos 2 Abang Abu for being able 2 distinguish brand names.

Me : Macam maner Abang Abu tau
Abang Abu : Kain Burbery kan macam gini
Me : ye tak ye eh
But I have a big problem now... No matter how hard I tried cost cutting measures, I could hardly see any difference as I will end up spending d money elsewhere... Damn it..... Next year I will try harder den :)
